Young Soloists
Annually, VSA Ohio selects three musical artists under the age of 25, as the Young Soloists of the year. The Young Soloists demonstrate outstanding talent in vocal or instrumental music.

Entry and Selection
The Young Soloists are selected through an adjudicated process in late December of each year. Candidates are eligible to submit entries any time after September 1st of the current year. A panel of qualified adjudicators reviews the soloist’s recordings to select the winners using criteria set forth by the VSA international office.
All applicants are forwarded to the National Young Soloists Contest sponsored by VSA in Washington D.C. More information about the international competition is here.
The three winners are awarded cash prizes from $500 - $1,000 and perform at a benefit concert and silent auction for VSA Ohio in May of each year. VSA Ohio works to connect the soloists with opportunities to perform throughout the year.
